印地安人本場比賽延續前2場都先馳得點的氣勢，在今天首局就靠著對方投手Marcus Stroman的保送，無人出局就站上壘包，接著陷入低潮的Mike Napoli，終於適時敲出季後賽的首分打點，幫助印地安人在美聯冠軍戰的前3場比賽都先攻下分數。
